I'm not that thrilled about it either, but hey, it's Eminem. If he made an album with silence tracks on it I would still buy it and tell everyone how awesome it is.

I see your point. Others have made the same point as well. But here's what I keep wondering...is it really as prominent as it's being described? The only songs I would even consider "fast" on the album are Asshole, Love Game and Rap God. Bad Guy, Rhyme or Reason, Legacy, Brainless, STIW, Headlights, Evil Twin and a few more are all pretty "normal" in terms of verses. I don't get it to be honest. If this was a complaint about Rap God and Asshole I wouldn't think much of someone feeling this way. But when people try to say this is how he raps on the whole album I can't agree. These aren't alien flows he's using here. Some of them are "new" but I feel like once people starting praising them all of the sudden it became this huge problem that plagued the entire album. I guess this is just going to be the new "thing". The accents, the shouting, and now the new card to play is too.."intricate" or something? I'm sure someone will come up with a better term to use. So I don't deny that your point exists, but I just think it is a really really small percentage of the entire album compared to what it's being blown up as.

It's present in every song. I love a lot of the new songs, but it's still there. But in the older stuff, you never really seen it.

I get it, Em gets bored with rap, but I don't think that means you have to go really left and that far out the box. The box is good, you need some of it.

Especially with a revisit when you barely touched your old flow and voice. Could have made a couple of songs that sounded like something we've heard before. That doesn't make you a broken record to be familiar

I enjoy to subtle approach too. It's creative and doesn't look desperate as making kill you 2, criminal 2, ect ect would.

But, still, some old shit would have been good, even if it was just on the bonus disk.

He's almost completely that BOOM BOOM TSSSH beats and the smooth flow with a rhyme at the end of each bar flow he had from like 1997-2003

I have a pretty sensitive ear when it comes to music, so it doesn't take much to mess with it.

Like I love the song Legacy. And I really love the last verse. Sounds great

I'm so into that song and then he goes ITALIAN SAUSAGE and ears go FUUUUUUUUUUUU

Then when they almost recover he says EXHAUST FUMESS

Stop fucking yelling at me. I don't need to be screamed at or whispered to. Just say the words

And every time I hear, it sticks out, in a bad way.

I stlll love the song, but Em used to be such a perfectionist, stuff like that rarely got by on a record.

I think a lot of it deals with what Rick Rubin said. Eminem is overly obsessed with his craft to the point he cant be subjective himself to it. It helps to take your time with things.. instead of writing for 3 years straight.

But, what do I actually know.

I'm not hearing this "choppy flow" everyone talks about. I hear Eminem rapping over different beats than we're used to. I hear his old style a lot on this new album. Crazy you can't hear it.
