agree his prime shit isn't untouchable tho for sure

You like Yeezus and Magna Carter Holy Grail. You don't know shit about lyrics to be honest. Just telling it like it is.

You think Eminem on MMLP 2 is touching Eminem in his prime. You don't know shit about lyrics, either.

Yeah, there's some clever word/phrase association on the album, and he's still rapping 5+ syllable rhymes, but is MMLP shrouded in a choppy flow, awkward lines, and grade-school story-telling & concepts?

Get the fuck out, man. I've just about had it with your stannery.

OT: The one I noticed at first was one off of Groundhog Day, where he said "I lost my super powers cuz of supervision" or some shit like that. It was a play on him not having any supervision - his mother not being around - but then also having superpowers. Was kinda neat.

Wow, what an awful and angry post. I posted an opinion you fucking spazz lol. Get the fuck outta here kid.

You can't sit here and fucking tell me Eminem isn't rhyming as well as he was during his prime you little weirdo. Storytelling is grade-school? You do realize this album GOES BACK to his old music...you know that, right? If anything YOU'RE the blind Stan who can't see that. I'm much more open than you are, clearly. And you've "just about had it with my Stannery" you do realize this is an Eminem fan forum right? You dipshit. :facepalm :facepalm

Also I wanna know what kind of storytelling Yeezus and MCHG have...LMAO. None. Braggadocio rap.

Technically.. like 2 songs on Yeezus are storytelling. They just aren't very intriguing..
Having storytelling and having GOOD storytelling are two different things. Saying it's "Braggadocio" is kinda contradicting your own argument though. You're taking the vein value of Yeezus and MCHG and generalizing it.. just like he is taking the value of the flow and what he feels is weak lyrics and generalizing MMLP2.

Other than that I agree with you. Lyrically Eminem on a technical level is going probably the hardest he's ever gone *consistently from track to track*. But, emotionally I don't get moved the same way I do with MMLP and TES. I still enjoy MMLP2 but I don't prefer this content and delivery. But, on a technical level he is above where he was on MMLP/TES. I just don't think the chemistry and magic are quite on that level.

It just clicked to my ear what he quite said on "Love Game" when he says 'Guess I'm getting my damn Jigga on ay? 'Cause your name - I'm beyond saying'...

Like, I could hear it was some kind of pun on Beyonce obviously but just realized it's 'beyond saying' @ Jay saying he's too big to mention names (or do I have that wrong? I know he says 'beyond saying', RG has a diff explanation for why he says that though).

100% spot on but the point of my post was to point out the hypocrisy in his statement that the storytelling is bad on MMLP2 when it's not lol. Generally, those albums aren't very emotional and most of the songs are Kanye and Jay bragging...Eminem does that on his album but he has a nice balance and Em is simply better.

Beyond sayin' / Beyonce-in'

Jay dates Beyonce. I think that's the extent of it.

Could "New Em" come out with "Stan"? Naw.

"Rap God" is nothing but braggadico rap. And of course going haaaard wit da barz!!! as Kill You would call it.

@Kill You.

Learn to read you close-minded fuckwad.

And, YES, there are grade-school concepts. Nothing mind-bending, nothing absolutely intriguing. Nothing that other rappers couldn't have come up with.

The only thing rappers couldn't have done was Bad Guy but he even nearly fucked THAT up.

I'm convinced most of the people here don't even know why Eminem was so good in his prime. They just let the hype of the album influence their opinions.

"More raps about how he grew up a bullied kid with obstacles complete with a youtube-level beat and hook1!! YAYYYY!!!"

Musically, he's done some pretty innovative things on this album, like sampling MMLP in So Far and starting from the Criminal skit. Then of course there's the Bad Guy epilogue which is probably the best thing about this album.

Okay Trilla. I can't open a closed-mind. Just fuck off though you little twat, you're really sounded stupid right now. Just stop.

Answer my question though, what storytelling merit do Yeezus and MCHG present? Huh? Not much. :facepalm

My argument isn't that Yeezus and MCHG have good story-telling, because those albums are weak in comparison to MMLP 2.

Matter of fact, I don't even know why you brought those albums up. It's like you're always trying to prove that Eminem > everyone else.

And I'mma have a whale of a time
Being a single sailor for the night
Bitch on a scale of, 1 to 10
Shit, I must be the holy grail of, catches
Ho, I got an Oscar attached to my fucking name, de la
I might hit the club, find a chick that's tailor made for me
Say fuck it, kick some shots back, get hammered and nail her
These bitches tryna get attached but they're failing to latch onto the tail
Of my bumper they're scratching at the back of my trailer like I'm itching to get hitched
Yeah, I'm rich as a bitch
But bitches ain't shit, I'd rather leave a bitch in a ditch
Bitch you complain when you listen to this
But you still throw yourself at me
That's what I call pitchin' a bitch
That's why I'm swinging at this chicks on sight
Long as I got a bat and two balls it's foul, but my dick's on strike

such a sick verse for "phrase association"
i've got genital warts and it burns when i pee
