I cringed when Em said that everyone was expecting him to do a sequel of Stan. I mean comon i heard people begging for Kim 2, Marshall Mathers 2, Criminal 2..etc. But he made a brave move and continued the story with Matthew..

Zane is a damn good interviewer. He seems to get Em to talk in a way he usually doesn't in most interviews.

I agree. I think it's because for with Zane, the music is the highlight, and he's a fan. I get the sense with other interviewers is that they try to push their interviewees into a corner and twist their words to produce something that'll get views.

Which is why I think Em will never interview with people who he isn't comfortable with. I can't imagine him ever doing an interview with Howard Stern or David Letterman because those are the types of guys who do that.

Em is a cool guy but has sanded down his personality so much to be neutral and mature (which, ultimately is a good thing. I'm just speaking from a detached, entertainment-driven perspective) that he's not that exciting or interesting to listen to now.

And it's kind of weird when you hear him speak now and just remember he's the guy who wrote even half the stuff on MMLP2; given how interesting, dense and neurotic his ideas are on-track...
