Stan is a classic, Lose yourself is a classic.

You're confusing popularity/popular opinion with reality. :facepalm

In that case.. the mainstream doesn't really know Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, and many other classics dropped by even popular artists. So, by your standard everything J-Biebz drops is classic.

But, I am strongly against calling MMLP2 a "classic" with a song like STIW, Asshole, The Monster, Survival.. only Stans will call this album a "classic" even probably only for a year. It's a very above average (for Em) album.

And, Bad Guy is a GREAT song for FANS of Eminem.. but it isn't as great as you guys make it out to be.. You're just being affected by your nostalgia.

I fucking agree.

Not a mainstream classic but definitely an underground classic. This song just wows me every single time I listen to it, I love it.

I think the "peaked" line is Matthew poking fun at Recovery's punchlines or him mocking Eminem, it doesn't bother me.

^ Yeah, I actually meant to type "MMLP2 is a hip-hop classic" but I was half asleep.
I've given it a fair amount of thought; it has about 4-5 songs that are arguably among Em's top 20 OAT, it's dense and detailed as FUCK, it shows an attention to detail characteristic of Em's earlier classics, and it's what Recovery should have been; a genuinely mature Em with a sense of humour.
To those who don't agree, give it a break for about to weeks and then listen to it again, it's fresh as hell all over again and it has that "my songs can make you cry, make you dry your eyes" feeling that Em's classics have, running the whole gamut of emotions, from awe at the final verse of Bad Guy, to laughter at "imma throw a fuckin' party after this" to tears when you listen to Headlights.
Truly powerful shit.
P.S Forgive typos I'm typing one-handed.
