Still disappointed with this interview.

And me yo.
Em is a cool guy but has sanded down his personality so much to be neutral and mature (which, ultimately is a good thing. I'm just speaking from a detached, entertainment-driven perspective) that he's not that exciting or interesting to listen to now.
And it's kind of weird when you hear him speak now and just remember he's the guy who wrote even half the stuff on MMLP2; given how interesting, dense and neurotic his ideas are on-track...

Lol, I know. It's two totally different personas but eh, I guess that's how he is now. If you really wanna hear some good questions and answers, all you have to do is blow up, get signed to Shady and talk to him in the studio.

Word... there was nothing fresh & informative so I'm disappointed by the interview too.

I loved the story of the making of Love Game.

Kendrick, after making the hooks: 'Is that it?'

Eminem: 'Well, do you want to lay a verse?'

Kendrick, susprised: 'Oh...'

It was the best part from the whole interview, seriously lol.

Not just his ass-lickery but just the way he speaks in general; how he tries to kind of have this slick, cool air about him but is just annoying. I hope someone throws something at him.

I think he's trying to walk a weird line. He can't act too goofy these days because he's 41, but I doubt he still wants to be that Recovery dude either. To be taken seriously, without having to be too serious. Plus, even though we all want him to talk further about it, if he keeps talking about his mom, and what it was like growing up, and some of those other things he rapped about then it will start to sound tired. He just wants to be seen as a good rapper without any gimmicks. He probably doesn't want to seem like he's still trying to pull sympathy out of people.

People actually complain when he talks about his life now.

When Zane said "Joe Walsh was in the Eagles, you know that right?", Em's look was like "are you serious?" haha. He has lost a lot of his charisma in his interviews, he still fucks around but it's in so much more of a subtle and passive way, he's not as sarcastic either.

I don't mean acting goofy. I don't want him to act goofy - that was just an overcompensation for a lack of confidence, as I used to do the same.

I mean - he used to have so many more interesting things to say on his art, and he sounded poetic even in describing his process. Now he's just like 'yeah. Yeah absolutely... I wanted to just, rap, you know?', that's what I mean about 'sanded his personality down' - it's like he's too scared to say anything too brash or potentially sound 'too artsy or conceptual'... he just generalizes everything.
