Eminem should do a track w/ an impression of his old voice

That interview where they played a radio show freestyle he did back in 98 or 99, and he did a spot-on impersonation of his old self going, "but my voice was much more higher then and I rapped like dis, do" proves he could probably do a damn good job of simulating the old him.

So why not actually do it, if only for one track just for fans of his old delivery? I think he may have wasted an opportunity on Evil Twin to do just that - he could have brought out his Slim Shady era voice and people would have flipped.

That also got me thinking - Eminem is lucky he has such a good ear for impressions. If he didn't, he probably never would have been able to rap again, as he literally forgot how to rap thanks to the pills. He was able to listen to his old music and replicate it to an extent, even though the part of his brain where he actually remembered all the skills he'd developed was wiped.

The voice in the interview was more spot on.

Rex, I don't think it would be forced if it was something like a freetrack tbh. Not on an album ofc, that shit would be stupid.

He will never do it.

He should, but he won't.

He gets bored with rap. Copying his old style because his new ones aren't as good would be boring and embarrassing for him.

Will never happen.

If he wouldn't go back to the MMLP sound after naming a album the MMLP2, then he will never do it.

He had his chance.

Yet you want him to do a SSLP2?

I think he would look at it as boring and embarrassing.

I'd be OK with it. Because, even if it was stupid and horrible. There would probably be at least a couple good songs out of it. And at this point, that's all I hope for.
