He'll tell you some of the exact same shit I did. When it gets to the point that it's pissing off a majority, or we're getting repeated complaints about it, it's a problem. It might not be a perfect system, I can admit that, but there has to be some guidelines set otherwise the place goes to shit.
Mononym is the one who's been told this, and he's been more mature about it than you have, which is a little bit ridiculous.
Enough of it in this thread, either PM a mod/admin to talk about it more, or just let it go. Because if you keep derailing this shit (although, I understand you were already replying when I made the edit), you're going to end up with a point for a stupid-ass reason
Enough.
You think it's immature to fight censorship![]()
How ridiculous. You're the immature one for trying to enforce it in stupid ways.
Monomonononomym was on-topic for a start.
God, people are fucking children. Learn to have conflict of ideas without "OMG, THIS ISN'T EXACTLY TO MY LIKING, STOP IT BEING SAID!!1, STOP IT!!!". Fucking babies.
Naw man this has nothing to do about censoring. Its like if a student is being annoying in class, does the teacher not kick him out? The teacher wont be like "well its free speech so ill let him keep at it." You should be banned if your messaging just so you can annoy and piss people off.
Dont compare this to eminem shit. Eminem doesnt go around forcing kids to listen to his music, He makes his music and kids choose to listen to it or not. If someone wants to go and make a blog and talk shit about eminem than he can go do that, and whoever wants to see it can go see it. Just dont message for the sake of annoying people.
1. This is not a class, this is a forum aka a DISCUSSION GROUND. A school is an industrialized institution designed to teach the majority a very quick set of limited world perspectives and proven ideas to set them up to work in an industrialized work force...
That is not the same as an open discussion. A more fair comparison would perhaps be a very good University on philosophy or something: and I think you'll find that yeah, if somebody is even shouting or trying to get what may look like nonsensical disruption out in to the open - a good teacher or think will allow it, confront the disruption and make it part of the discussion.
Because the question of 'why is this guy shouting' is just as valid and often more interesting than the current discussion at hand, and you cannot predict where that will lead.
2. Nobody is forcing you, or anybody here to look at Mononononononomy's responses. So again this comparison doesn't work. You can simply blank or scroll past his responses or choose to not engage with him just like people could/can glance Eminem's albums on the shelves and choose to not buy them, or hear him on the radio and change the station.
Should people you don't like be banned from the radio? That is comparable to what you're saying.
We're all forced to initially see or hear things we don't like all the time... but we're not forced to stay engaged with them. What if I find what you're saying right now or in any given moment annoying... should I be allowed to have you censored because it annoys me?
Annoyance is subjective, you can't go around fucking censoring everything which bugs you. You can choose to move past it, ignore it, walk in another direction, change the station, turn the page or scroll past it - what if there's plenty who agree with or want to hear what you don't? The entire concept of censoring ideas is always self-centered and it's always moronic.
