Classic Shady song. I love it and it might be my favorite on the whole album.

This is what makes MMLP2 different than all of his albums since TES. Replay value. Recovery had maybe 2-3 songs you could get addicted to and just replay over and over. To me, every single song on this album makes me go WOAH. In a few years this new album will be considered tied with MMLP1 and TES. ESPECIALLY once all the Stans start growing up and appreciating Em's maturing process.

Lol. MMLP2 will never be tied with MMLP1.

The quality of the songs, and his wit, and originality and the concepts is just nowhere near.

It's a good album. MMLP1 is unreal, and it was from day one.

My second favorite from MMLP2.

It's just godly. :worship:

I hear what you are saying, and I felt the same way at first... but I really think when people say that it is out of nostalgia. MMLP1 is fucking amazing... but if you compare rhyme schemes and technical skill then Em is miles ahead of where he was in MMLP1. Also, the content is much more mature, giving the album replay value that will endure throughout the aging process. While I can admit MMLP1 is crazy fucking good, I hope I am not listening to most of it (a few exceptions) when I'm 30. I can see myself blasting MMLP2 till the day I die. It's going to push the genre further than the first MMLP. But hey, time will tell. I respect all the fam's opinions :)

Exactly. And it took me a few days for this to sink in. The first day or so I felt like a sponge, some friends would ask what I thought and I would say "im not sure yet, i just know i really enjoy listening to it." Then it hit me, very much like MMLP 1 hit me. This album is fucking unreal. Everything is just so dense, his wordplay isnt corny and choppy like Recovery, his lyrics and flow are the sharpest they've ever been (Love Game 3rd verse??? WTF??), and just like MMLP 1, this album is a transparent view into the mind of Marshall Mathers.

Im not sure if I will ever be able to Say MMLP 1 is definitely better than MMLP 2 or vice versa. I DO know that Eminem exceeded the already insane expectations that came with making a sequel to your best record in your career, and put out a classic album that, in my opinion, will be in the same tier as MMLP 1 in years to come.

Tier 1: MMLP 1, MMLP 2
Tier 2: TES, SSLP
Tier 3: Relapse, Recovery
Tier4: Encore, Infinite
Predominantly, predominantly, everything's always predominantly
Predominantly white, predominantly black
Well what about me? where does that leave me
Well I guess that Im between predominantly both of em
I think if I hear that fuckin word again Imma scream
While I'm projectile vomiting, what do I look like, a comedian to you?
Do you think that I'm kidding?
What do I look like some kind of idi- wait a minute, shit, don't answer that..

Yeah I noticed. That's funny you bring that up because I also noticed on Headlights the line where he talks about following "my kids to the edge of the atlas," Em mentioned in an interview (it might have also been the same 60 minutes interview) something very similar how he would follow his kids to the edge of the Earth if someone took them from him.

More proof that Em is one of... HIS best producers any way. Fuck that, THE best of his.

And one of the best any way.

We have albums from 99 to now with Em's production alongside some of the best producers ever @ Dre and Rubin, and Em's beats are without question the stand out beats on almost every album.
