Eminems use of gay slurs came at a perfect time. When everyone is so damn sensitive about the use of faggot and queer. I love getting looks from people who are astonished to hear Eminem say these words through my headphones when I'm blasting that shit in school. I think it's funny. Subjects don't have expiration dates. I love that Eminem brought all the stuff from MMLP1 to MMLP2. I like hearing everyone's butthurt comments.

What gets me is the how the same people complaining about "outdated referencezzz" somehow seem oblivious to the fact that any current references will soon be "outdated," too.

If Eminem had used current referencezzz, the album would be praised by the trendy douchebags. But come a year or two later, these same idiots will go, "the album hasn't aged well. It doesn't HOLD UP."

There's nothing I hate more in life than what I'll term "myopic contemporists."

Yep, people who value the 'newness' of a reference... are idiots, aka 80% of critics, and fans.

It's about how the reference is used, and why, it's just a shortcut/metaphor to a point or an idea.

People are boringly stupid.
