Seriously though, does anyone else find it strange that this dude gets critical praise but is NEVER listed by hip hop heads as one of the greatest hip hop heads ever, or even considered one of the greatest musicians in music period?
Em, Nas, Jay, Pac, Biggie -- these are names you always see on peoples' lists. A list Kanye will never make, no matter how much left field hipster garbage he puts out. And you can say he's not aiming for that but rather aiming to be a great artist in general but I don't know any non hip hop head who listen to him. I don't even know who his audience is.

Not sure if srs. 2010 was Eminem's year going away with it. He was everywhere. Recovery earned more Grammy noms than any of his other albums and was a critical and commercial success. It was consistently listed as one of the best albums of the year.
