Em has typically had songs, usually the big singles, that get written and recorded at the very end of the album-creation process. It is just the line in the song "I wrote this on the jet..." that makes me think he might have written the verses on the plane back from his August shows, but I don't know how late is too late for him to record a new song for an album. It is just the combination of that line and the fact that he did perform COMC at those shows that maybe it was a last minute addition. Just spit balling here, I could be very wrong.

In his interview with Zane Lowe, he said that Love Game was a last minute record. He referred he was busy at the time with Survival and CoD shit. So.. if Love Game was last minute and it was recorded on mid-August. I don't believe he recorded Headlights after it.

Disagree. Asshole is so-so; I like his verses but the beat is ehhh and the hook is a toss up as well. The Monster...okay, you got me. But I think Love Game is really, really solid. It just sounds so fresh. To me, Love Game, RoR and So Far represent what I think could have been Eminem's perfect sonic sound for the album. Of course, those are the heavily influenced Rubin records, but the way they sound and how he pulled it off is pretty interesting.

For some reason The Monster reminds me of The Way I am, when he talks about leaving him alone. IDK it just brings me back to when him, kim and hailey are eating in the music video and that guy asks for an autograph.
