To be honest, I didnt understand what was the reason of this scene? I mean, yeah, this is locked up Slim Shady, but it seemed like Eminem comes to him everytime he need lyrics lol

To show he has no control of slim shady, is afraid of being controversial again speaking his mind, basically the guy outside the cage is the imposter (to me), slim shady made eminem now eminem is locking up slim shady and taking his lyrics when he needs it.

I interpreted it almost exactly opposite: to show he has total control of Slim Shady, if he ever gets out again he'll kill him outright, and that the only useful thing Slim can contribute to Eminem's life are scraps of lyrics. He is "friends with the monster", but knows the only viable way to live his life is to keep Slim out of everything but the music.

It's an interesting vid. The song's still shit, though.
