B.o.B

On the shady records app, it shows B.o.B's new album, Underground Luxury. Why is this? It says he is a Shady Publishing Artist. What is this??

"His sound-shaping paid off with critical acclaim. Eminem was so impressed that he signed B.o.B to a publishing deal through his Shady Music Publishing in 2007. Em was betting that the young rapper—who sounds like a mash-up between Ludacris and Andre 3000—would be creating music that resonates with listeners for some time."

it's really not helping him though.. his album might be the biggest flop of the year

Music Publisher = "an entity responsible for
songwriters and composers

compositions are used
commercially"
Nothing to do with his album flopping.

Does it really though? Who has Eminem really supported who has had huge hype. Looking at his own label, 50 and D12 both sold well. Ca$his, Bobby Creek, and probably Stat didn't really have potential. Yelawolf is a pretty niche artist.

Slaughterhouse might be the only one, in his own label, who he supports that isn't living up to potential.

50 Cent didn't, D12 didn't, Obie didn't (his newest non-Shady album sold like 4K though lol)... That's about it. I don't think Bobby Creekwater or Stat Quo ever released albums, Ca$his' EP sold okay-ish, but he never released an album, Slaughterhouse flopped, and Yelawolf flopped.

Not the brightest record.

50 Cent is lucky that he's sold one album his whole career.

but if we're being honest, Aftermath and Iovine played a huge role in 50's success.
50 "fell off" when iovine stopped caring about him

Yeah for sure. Shady Records really didn't do anything.

Maybe that's why they never learned to promote properly. :facepalm
