Em cleaned it up, shit out gold and truly paved the way; Macklemore, Asher Roth, Mac Miller etc. - not saying they wouldn't be successful, but they would have had to work 10x as hard for respect and probably wouldn't get as easy a pass in hip-hop considering they're hardly lyrical geniuses, any of them.
Where as after Em... saying 'white guys can''t rap'' became forever invalid.
