So Cleaning Out My Closet he was obviously very angry with his Mom when he recorded it but on Headlights he was probably experiencing sorrow and forgiveness. In real life he could have a mixture of both. Like he sometimes gets mad at her and sometimes he shows his love for her.

Yes. Do you honestly think musicians don't make moves like that to stir up conversations, which in sales are called referrals, or in media controversy? To me, the song sucked.. and maybe it wasn't but it sounded a bit rushed to me on Em's part (not the beat or Nate really). I am not trying to argue about this.. but let's not pretend like it's an absolutely ridiculous thought..

Paul is why he has blonde hair again (Eminem openly said Paul had the idea), and I have no doubt he helped push for the name MMLP2. Wouldn't be shocked if it turned out Jimmy or Paul or even Dre for that matter came up with the idea for the song. Sitting the in the studio like "how can I revisit the mom subject, kill her again? Rape her again?.. no no I got it! Apologize."

*edit: especially consider that not even that long ago he was still getting crowds of TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE to scream "FUCK YOU DEBBIE!".. I don't buy the shit for a minute.
*one last edit: I do want to clarify I understand some of the things he said seem genuine, like I am sure he really does wish his mom wasn't a POS and could see his kids. But, what I am talking about is the MOTIVE of the song. I don't think it was OMG I WANNA APOLOGIZE TO MOMMY.. I think it was this would be a song fans would buy. Marketing over emotion. Pretty convoluted way to explain that but.. it is what it is.
