Yes. Do you honestly think musicians don't make moves like that to stir up conversations, which in sales are called referrals, or in media controversy? To me, the song sucked.. and maybe it wasn't but it sounded a bit rushed to me on Em's part (not the beat or Nate really). I am not trying to argue about this.. but let's not pretend like it's an absolutely ridiculous thought..

Paul is why he has blonde hair again (Eminem openly said Paul had the idea), and I have no doubt he helped push for the name MMLP2. Wouldn't be shocked if it turned out Jimmy or Paul or even Dre for that matter came up with the idea for the song. Sitting the in the studio like "how can I revisit the mom subject, kill her again? Rape her again?.. no no I got it! Apologize."

Good points. However, I think the song was genuine and its inclusion was genuine. Plus it also ties in with the whole MMLP2 revisit theme. At most, Paul may have told Em to include it if he was unsure.

Fair points. But Em has stated and proved time again that all he wants to do is make music he wants. Who he collabs with seems to be the choice of Paul (Rihanna, Pink), but such a personal song? I'm pretty sure it's straight from the heart.

Dude, Em obviously "wants" to do these things but that doesn't mean there is no manipulation or coercing taking place. Wanting to do them is IRRELEVANT.. the root of our beef is that Jimmy and Paul are in his ear.. or more so that Mr. IDGAF actually does give a fuck. makes me sad.

But YOLO you know he's old.. so if he wants to appeal and do what he thinks is appealing that's his deal. I can't control that. I enjoy MMLP2 but I still miss MMLP/TES Em.. not even just in a rap way but a vibe/mentality.

The last time Em went along fully with his Muse was Relapse and you see how that turned out. Eminem, as an artist and as a person, cannot create in isolation. The results will turn out like Relapse; disproportionate, skewed, overly obsessive about the minute detail but ignoring the whole, no dis as Relapse is a cult classic, but Em needs people around him to feed off their energy and be abreast of current pop culture.
Jimmy and Rosenberg have his ear, as they should, they're his boss
and his close friend but I don't think either of them can coerce Em into doing shit he isnt comfortable with, if they could we'd have had several Justin Bieber collabs and a Tyler feature.
Em likes Rihanna, he likes to do songs with her that turn out to be massively successful. I don't see how that is a bad thing.

In my best way of saying basically what I feel.. I have told people before Eminem isn't a stellar ARTist.. he's a master at his craft, a word smith.. He's undeniably amazing at his craft.. He's a stellar rapper.

Understandable but I think Eminem has his limits as far as creativity goes.

Like you said about Relapse.. even when Rick Rubin said in that interview he obsesses over it so much. Rick said he didn't do that because if he did he couldn't look at it and be open to how others will hear it.

It's what makes him a great lyricst and I think it may be what hurts his creativity. I am not saying he has totally lost it.. I am just saying I am left wanting.
