What's plum sauce? I mean, the oconcept seems pretty straightforward -- a sauce made out of plums -- but what does it taste like and what's it used for? Is it like jelly?

It is a sauce made from plums that is kind of sweet and sour. I don't really know how it's prepared but it's mainly used for certain Chinese dishes.
