You don't deserve to be an Em fan if you genuinely believe Encore is a better album than Recovery.

I don't care how "Eminem" Encore sounds and how "un-Eminem" Recovery sounds.

Encore was a fucking rambling, drug-addicted rapper who had nothing left to say and realized it, while Recovery, although awkward at times, was a recovering drug addict with a new positive outlook on life.

Paste any verse from Encore and I guarantee I can pick any song on Recovery that blows it out of the water (except maybe Spend Some Time)

I guess you are the type of fan that takes things at face value, I like to dig deeper than that. The fact that Encore is about a tired, frustrated, and depressed drug addict is what makes it so interesting imo.

I think YBR is a really good song to just kick back and relax too. The production on the song is my favourite from all of Encore, each verse is very different in it's delivery and I genuinely enjoy what he's got to say on this. The chorus gets the job done
It's a really modest and restrained reflective (and apologetic) song that I often bump. No swearing or shock lyrics either so I can bump it when my younger cousins come over too lol

Yellow Brick Road got that 10/10 co-sign from Aone10 doe.

The reason you don't like YBR is the same reason why you can't get into DOOM, and he's my 2nd favorite rapper.

Perhaps that explains why I'm not bothered by Eminem's laid back and at times mono tone delivery on Encore.

I never said I can't get into doom, I said I can't get into Madvillainy doom .. I really enjoy mm food tbh

and YBR is one of his worst deliveries ever .. deal with it
