Lol just listened to Encore from Puke through Ass Like That just because...

God... Lol. Honestly some website rated Encore fairly high but saying it was a real head scratcher. If you listen to it straight through you think: the beginning and end had some great songs but the middle left you thinking wtf. Honestly Encore is one of Eminem's (if not most) peculiar album. Coming off of The Eminem Show there were certain expectations (quite high ones too) and then you get an album like Encore. Honestly you can't say it's a terrible album... It's more of like a wtf experience after you listen through it. It's highs are pretty damn high though and it's got a cool feel to it. I still got to listen to it all the way through back to back with Recovery.

I agree. After I have listened to sslp, mmlp, tes, relapse and mmlp2,
and it's time to listen to another album, I always choose encore instead of recovery.
That's because I enjoy listening to it from beginning to end.
(except My First Single, I don't even have it on my phone)
I can't say the same for Recovery. It is the album that got me into Eminem,
but since then I haven't listened to it so much.
But I wouldn't mind listening to Almost Famous, ltwyl, untitled, ridaz, session one,
25 to life and maybe GTC.

edit: when I switched from encore to recovery, I turned the volume down a liitle bit.
I guess that's why I don't listen to Recovery so much anymore.
His voice is drowned by the loud music and loud screaming.

Just listened to Recovery there and it was actually a pretty good listen. 7/10 Forgot how good Seduction was, best beat on the album for me.

I wish he put Ridaz on the album though cause that's one hell of a tune - could've took the place of Cinderella Man easily

If you take away the corny punchlines, Recovery is a great album for what it is. His flow on some songs >>> whew. Songs like LTWYL & No Love are not even that terrible. I mean, they're no top notch songs but you can play it fine in the background and you don't really have the urge to skip it , at least I don't.. So Bad, GTC, Almost Famous, Seduction, CWB, Untitled, Ridaz, On Fire, Space Bound, 25 To Life.. Whew

I think though that the punchlines are pretty hard to ignore sometimes, especially when you speak native English but the flow on some songs just compensate and yeah, Encore may not have the punchlines in "good" songs but the farting and burping is faaar worse.

For sure. Some of Recovery's punch lines were bloody awful though lol, doesn't bother me half as much now though because they have been massively improved upon in MMLP2
