I always thought Desperation had clever lines, did not notice this because I didn't really give it much thought.

Desperation is way too underrated, the hook could've been better but it's a dope ass song either way.

I agree, I love Desperation myself. It's pretty entertaining.

His MMLP2 wordplay with associative language is top shelf shit.

Even the blatant lines like "Get hammered and nail 'her"... totally seamless and clever.

These lines are everything the Recovery lines weren't. On Recovery he wrote a contrived description leading up to the pun to justify it... where as in that example, for example - it's incidental; the puns are happening but the lines are as they should be and no contrived writing is taking place.

I think he's one of the coolest at associative language too.

He deserves credit for his MMLP2 wordplay. I think it rivals wordplay rappers people always quote as > Em. And it's some of his most complex wordplay just in terms of density and continuation, and swiftness.

There's a lot of shit in MMLP2. Just when you think you've heard it all, another line pops up like ''shit yeah, dope'', I only just recently (embarrassingly) realized the fucking ''So huge I need'a shrink" (in size/psychatrist) line in fucking Monster not long ago lmao. I'd always heard the line but just thought he was being tongue in cheek @ poking fun at stars needing shrinks as in... he's famous enough to have one now. Which, the line probably is that too but, I'd just never noticed the size pun. I'm a tard doe.

I didnt notice that until you just wrote it, this album really blows me away... Its been months and I must have listened to these songs dozens of times, and Im still catching things, i should either be embarrassed or extremely impressed, im gonna go with the latter though
