I wasn't really down with Headlights initially but I can dig it now. I'm not one of those who is automatically down with any kind of "real" song he makes either. Didn't like No Apologies, Mockingbird, or Beautiful. But I like this one.

Lol I knew that would raise some eyebrows. I don't know. That whole Encore/Curtain Call/Re-Up/Bad features era left an incredibly bad taste in my mouth.

Same here. I almost never listen to anything from that time period, even "No Apologies". Just the vibe and knowing what era it was released just turns me away from it.

It was such a drop off in quality and just hit me surprisingly hard -- I can't explain it.

To have SSLP, MMLP, TES, 8 Mile where every song, every feature, every verse was flawless -- to go to the Encore era. I really have no explanation for it. It was just a really bad time to be an Eminem fan.

I try to pretend that entire 5 year block never happened.

I thought ''No Apologies'' was recorded in 2001/2002.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

The first two verses were WRITTEN in 2001/2002. It was recorded, produced (and had the third verse written) in 2006.

SHIT I just remembered No Apologies and that Eminem said in the second verse "until my assassination, till I'm slain cause of some fag's infatuation." Isn't this what Bad Guy was all about??!
"That's interesting to spit, who's king of this fucking English lit?

Yup and Won't Back Down -- although I'm not a huge fan of it, but it's hardly emo.

He was spitting on that album. It wasn't Not Afraid and LTWYL alternating for 20 tracks.
