Does Interscope want big hits? Of course, but I also think he is very aware of the fact that he has an enormous fanbase to appeal to, and even though hardcore Stans would never admit it, maybe he actually likes trying to make music for all of his fans. I think as long as he doesn't feel like he is compromising the quality of his rapping, he welcomes making different kinds of music. MMLP2 is a fantastic example of him making high quality music for all kinds of tastes. I think The Monster would still exist. Maybe there would be a different singer, maybe not. Maybe it would sound a little different, maybe not. All of his fans got him to where he is at, so he makes music for all of his fans. So what?

From his perspective, he might be thinking: "I gave you Rap God, I gave you Bad Guy, Brainless, Evil Twin, Baby, Groundhog Day...etc...and you call me a sell out because I gave the other fans like 3 songs???" We need to stop looking at him like a puppet pushover and consider the fact that maybe he likes making music that everybody loves. Stans like to think they are Em's collective conscience and assume that if we don't like it, then he must secretly hate it too. Most of the album is for core fans, a couple are for the rest. That doesn't make him a pushover, that makes him a guy that loves all of his fans.

I agree with you, and I believe that's how Em sees this thing. But still I don't understand why he doesn't perform the less famous songs for the core fans.

50 shoulda left Shady Records years ago. 'SKI' has become a faded memory because of them.

They came out of the gate so hot there was nowhere to go but down. GRODT is a classic. Hunger For More is a damn near classic. The first G-Unit album was fantastic. Documentary is a classic or near classic depending who you ask.

I enjoyed The Massacre too. But it wasn't long before all the beef shit took over and they couldn't really work with anybody.

Although they're not really relevent, it must be weird for 50. He held it down and repped Shady hard when Eminem was battling his demons. Then Eminem returns to his second prime and would rather work with BME and Slaughterhouse. I wonder if their relationship is strained. Good luck to 50 and the Unit.

I doubt it's strained because 50 posted on Instagram that he was thankful for Eminem and said some shit like "I love you" on the picture or whatever. And Eminem here said "Me and 50 have a great friendship and that's not changing".

That's good. It's funny. Given how many beefs Eminem has had, people who have actually worked with him don't seem to have any falling outs with him.

He still works with Obie. Stat Quo, Creekwater, Cashis, to my knowledge, all have nothing but good things to say about Eminem.

Em had a falling out with Royce but that was patched up.

I guess it really is just business. Sometimes it makes more financial sense for artists to go to a different label, nothing personal. I'm glad they were able to just let the business side handle itself without adding drama to it.

Seems to be the opposite of Dre who had a falling out with Pac, Eazy, Suge, Cube, etc.
