I think it'd be easier to notice, of course with technology nowadays he could punch-in every line separately to make it sound perfect. What i'm saying is that it sounds a lot like his older voice simply because it's his voice lol, but speaking/rapping like that for 4 minutes would make it easier to spot the differences/slip-ups.

No doubt, then again, that same guy made Rap God and Kim lol

No doubt, but what has that to do with someone's voice. I know that you are talking about the hunger in his voice, but at the end of the day he's an entertainer/actor. He should be easily able to show you hunger lol .. and besides, Em was hungry as fuck on MMLP2

The voice is nostalgic, and its really dope he can still do it pretty much identically to before, but why would would you want him to go back to it? It seems like he sounded all nasally like that because he was still in the process of developing his rapping voice.

I agree for certain songs. I think lately he's been more focused on being technical. Well sometimes doing that takes attention away from the content of the song.

But I also think that he is often highly scrutinized and everything gets put under a microscope for him as opposed to other rappers. I guess he is a victim of his own success. When you come out of the gate with 3 classics, you've set the bar pretty high.
