Nah for real, lyrics aren't top notch but I like it and the vid is cute

The video sucks. When Eminem sees Hailie in the crowd = worst acting ever, from both Eminem and the girl playing Hailie.

"Daddy's writing a song, the song ain't gon' write itself"...We're expected to accept that the song he's writing at that moment contains the exact same dialogue he's having with his daughter at that moment? That's a bit stupid and ridiculous.

Da faq are you talking about? I don't think he intends that at all. He's just saying that he's writing and the song he's working on isn't going to "write itself".

When I'm Gone is an awesome song. Menzo...you prefer The Monster? Really? That's pretty ridiculous to me tbh, completely different levels.

I really like headlights but I honestly don't think it's as good as GTC or De Ja Vu technically.

Headlights and Going through Changes hands down are the best emotional tracks since 2005, probably since 2003. What makes deja vu so much better than GTC?

Both are perfect, to me. "Deja Vu" is a bit more interesting though because he depicts his drug addict behaviour while also sort of making fun of himself - similar to "My Mom"...having a serious message / theme but taking the piss out of the seriousness of it all.

"Going Through Changes" is great though, and that fourth verse is pretty incredible. It's like two sides of the coin, "Deja Vu" almost feels like an out of body experience while GTC takes a shot at the reality of his struggles.

@Menzo
I actually think i get it, to be honest when i asked i wasnt expecting an answer like that haha. I still think GTC is better, but i can see how one would appreciate what deja vu does. I always kind of saw deja vu has a less impactful version of going through changes, i guess i didnt understand what he was going for there. :y:

Headlights is an okay song. I think it gets too much credit around here.

Imagine how much did Headlights mean for Em, after all the shit he said and the shit Debbie did, he forgives her.
It must not have been easy to write and release this song, when i heard Headlights i was like what the fuck at the first listen, did give it a second play and i found out myself almost in tears, mad respect for Em ! :y:

And it's well deserved.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

I know what he's saying in the lyrics.

Hailie strolls up to him and says "Daddy, look what I made" and "Daddy, where's Mommy? I can't find Mommy, where is she?"

So Eminem responds to her, then time-travels 1 hour in the past and writes a song, and writes the dialogue he had with his daughter, verbatim, on the lyric sheet.

Now I can give this scene the benefit of suspending my disbelief since it's meant to be artistic and there's a lot of chronologically inconsistent stuff in other music videos, but I won't because this is just too stupid. Almost to the point of comedy.
