In an interview with New York's renowned hip-hop station Hot 97, Eminem confirmed that he's hard at work on new material, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with members of his Shady Records label.
Despite his camp denying the rumours that the rapper was working on a new album entitled "King Mathers," Eminem has announced he is hard at work on his first studio album in three years.
"I'm always working - I'm always in the studio," he said. "It feels good right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I didn't want to go back to the studio ... I went through some personal things. I'm coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good."
The rapper also said he has barely been out of the studio with most of the artists on the Shady Records roster and despite joking he would release the new album "tomorrow," there is currently no release date for the album.
Eminem's last album was 2004's "Encore" which topped The Billboard 200 and Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. He also released a compilation album featuring the artists on his Shady Records label entitled "Eminem Presents : The Re-Up," which peaked at No. 2 on the same charts.
