2010 - Recovery appreciation old comments (classic)

Not dissing anybody, of course. These coments only prove that an album can grow on you or become worse throughout the years. I found these very interesting :y:

First listen, I was expecting SO MUCH that I didn't listen fairly. I was literally expecting the second coming of Mozart with Eminem spitting things that made me question my own existence lmao.

So I found things to pick at. But on the 2nd, 3rd listen... Man. Every track gets better and better. I literally don't dislike one track now. There's so many fucking layers. It's really hard to rate right now but this may end up in my top 3 Eminem albums.

lel, I've read worse in the Recovery leak thread though.
It's incredible how quickly EminemBase changes his opinion. He did the same thing with MMLP2.

It was a great experience when I visited the 2010 threads about Recovery, like a time travel in people's minds.

Eminembase's first thoughts on Recovery were more positive than his first thoughts on MMLP2.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

I still love it...

And Recovery is still a great album! Full of great personal songs! I love it tbh.

I hate all the hate Recovery gets. IMO in SOME ways it is better than SSLP and TES. It got TONS of great reviews. Like the most in a long while for Em. And I think it's his 2nd best selling album? But not sure. He came out strong and each song was personal almost. I love the album. Def in my top 4 em albums and maybe even in top 3 albums.

Nah, sometimes when I say "I don't understand" or "I'm confused", is isn't as much a request for clarification as it is my equivalent of sliding dem panties to the side before verbal rape.
To clarify; I understand perfectly why you made the thread, it's clearly some asinine "let's all laugh at how awful we think Recovery is now" wankfest because surely the fact that opinions change over time can't be that surprising.
I might be in my feelings a little bit because I happen to like Recovery. Whatever. Carry on.

Pretty sure Encore sold more than Recovery :shifty:

I would agree that in some ways it's more superior than SSLP, although SLLP is a far better album overall..
