In the technical aspect the new Eminem is much better than the Em from 99-03 .
But it is not the same. After his 2nd rehab he lost his old flow and the voice is not the same anymore(04-07)
He lost his touch it is hard to describe in English.

But the MMLP2 is a BIGGGG step forward from Recovery ^^

No, he's not. The new Eminem is just more obvious with emphasizing the technical aspect of his lyrics. In Rap God, he's trying to make people notice every single multisyllabic rhyme...he didn't care about making people notice in 2001 because he knew the other elements of the song were great too.

I have to disagree, Eminem now is much more technically skilled than he was in his early career (99 - 02). His soul intent material (Fuckin' Backstabber, Biterphobia) were very technically present but not as polished as far his cadence in detail goes.

Of course he did, he always used to at least layer his end rhymes to make them stand out.

That's an artistic decision, though...he does that to make his vocals sound more powerful (Fight Music is a good example), not to point out that he's a sick rhymer. If that was the intention, then he'd layer all the internal rhymes as well, but he doesn't.

If you "disagree," you're an idiot. His cadence now is terrible. He splits phrases between bars and deliberately overemphasizes parts of rhyme strings in awkward, horrible-sounding ways in an effort to get morons to hear the extent of his rhymes. His delivery on "So Far" is a perfect example:

Other day, someone got all elaborate and stuck the head from a dead cat in my mail box

In this example, he was trying to point out to the morons that these strings extend into the first word in the next line, thereby matching up with "animal shelter" and "hamburger helper," etc. If modern Eminem were to rap the lyrics to the 2nd verse of Renegade, here's how he would do it:

And that's just one of the problems he has today. The other problem is his approach to flow these days is usually to write lyrics and then improvise the flow based on mimicking the beat, rather than voice acting his lines while staying within the tempo. This leads to not only a boring delivery, but awkward forces where he has to emphasize the wrong syllables.

Survival is a great example of this.

I wasn't comparing any 99-03 examples to anything. I was demonstrating how modern Eminem would have butchered the flow to Renegade in order to emphasize to morons the extent of his multi-syllabic rhymes.

It's the fact that Eminem forgot how to flow that is the reason the likes of Copywrite, Mac Lethal, and DZK, all formerly huge fans of Eminem, think he sucks now.
