That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael

You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus

1. Outkast ( to me this is not a debate, 4 dope albums, 2 of them classics at the least, 3 Stacks is an all time great but Big Boi is criminally understated by most. Legitimized southern hip hop)
2. Wu-Tang (all time great group, top to bottom just great mcs with great group and solo works)
3. NWA (legitimized west coast hip hop and introduced two all time legends to the game, one of the first hardcore records I remember)
4. Eric B & Rakim (brought a new level of lyracism to hip hop that many have not been able to reach since).
5. The Roots (just such a great diverse collective and can rarely pin them down to just one set style, great discography)
6. Public Enemy (another classic group, 2 legitimate classics to their record.)
7. D12 (one of my favorites, would love to put them higher but can't just cause of the impact of the first six, great collective and just make great music)
8. Mobb Deep (tremendous duo, havoc is an all time great producer, prodigy brings it most all the time, The Infamous is still one of the best albums of all time.)
9. Gangstarr (Guru can bore me with his just monotone flow at times but good lyrics, Preemo makes the group for me, greatest producer of all time)
10. Bad Meets Evil (would love to put higher but need to put out more work, Em and Royce have great chemistry though.)

Ces Cru (this should be top of everyone's list and it disappoints me that they haven't even been brought up so far, no duo has better synergy, these guys are virtually one entity)
Wax + Herbal T
Bad Meets Evil
Mayday (if they count)
The Roots (if they count)
Outkast

don't have enough experience with other groups/duos to finish the list.
