Ibuprofen for example. As long as you don't have a dislodged disc or whatever, surgery isn't necessary.
Massage helps, too. But yeah, you should see a doctor.

Third: Why arm? The sciatic nerve is a leg nerve, it doesn't have anything to do with your arm.

I wish i knew, i did google it last night tho and apparantly it can effect the arm, i never really figured it effected the eg, i always thought my leg pains were from my torn maniscus in my knee

A hospital visit in the United States can easily cost you 1500 dollars or more, out of pocket, before medications and corrective procedures.

Bigray, you can't purchase private health care in Canada?

In Australia we have a good public health care system but, like in Canada, if you need surgery you can potentially be waiting months and months. If you want to pay a monthly fee, you can purchase private health care and visit private hospitals where the wait is much shorter.

There are private clinics for certain things (such as X-Rays, Ultrasounds, etc) which aren't covered under the Canadian Medicare, but are usually covered under your private insurance if your work has medical. It's illegal to have a private clinic/hospital that provides any service covered under the Canada Health Act though.

I can't remember for sure as I did a term paper on this a while ago, but I believe most non-elective surgeries (such as cosmetic surgery) are covered under the Canada Health Act, and illegal to provide privately. It gets weird though. I can pay for a X-Ray or Ultrasound to be done at a private clinic, but not an MRI...

Sounds weird. I think the option to buy private cover is great. Our jobs don't provide coverage on Australia.

Depending on the job you can get extended medical which covers stuff that the provincial coverage doesn't. It is a very weird system here.

Depends on what it's for. If it's to get moles removed, or vein issues, I think you have the same wait rules. It's just a shorter wait time because less people opt to have elective surgeries.

If it's plastic surgery you get in pretty quick.

Yeah, I was referring more about plastic surgery.

Weird. When my mum had to have surgery on her arm, she had to wait 3 years. When she finally got to go in and have her surgery, they nearly killed her before they even started the cutting part of the surgery and they had to abort. Such bullshit. Meanwhile, people who want cosmetic surgery can get straight in if they have the money. Typical liberal society.

The system is so broken.

Lots of jobs here provide a good health care package along with dental.

Dental would be nice, dentists cost so fucking much.

Our jobs don't have these benefits but we are paid quite highly in comparison to America.
