Yeah it's weird too because he's hit and miss with singing. Always catchy, but hit and miss with whether it sounds authentic or glass-shattering...

''Rhyme or Reason'' for example sounds awesome as fuck.

If he had done a more lowkey kinda hook but still made it energetic in some way and produced the beat himself, and re-written that shit first verse then the shit coulda bin boss.

I can't believe that he made songs on the calibre of ''Almost Famous'' and ''Space Bound'' so clearly in a right frame of mind and yet the song which he should have nailed or cared about the most seems like the most carelessly shit. I mean, that first verse is just quite unforgiveable.

And even things like ''excuse the corny metaphor'' instead of just coming up with one which doesn't need excusing lmao. I think maybe his thinking was that he wanted it to just be an organic first-time expression perhaps, maybe he was over-thinking the others... but with that, the loss of some quality elements happened. But it's almost all rectified with that 2nd verse. Which is heartfelt, throat-lump inducing and brilliant.

I think Fack is a kind of pathetic and embarrassing showcase of Eminem at that time. When I listen to it I don't hear the reason why I listen to Eminem in the first place (or any other artist). So yeah, I can see why people aren't too fond of it. It was fun back in junior high tho.
