For Berzerk's hook, when I first heard it I thought it said:
"So turn the volume loud, cuz we're spittin' til the A.M."
I don't hear it as 'mayhem' until the last hook where there's no beat.

it always sounded to me like he was saying:
''with a little rap and punk, Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Shaft brings ABBA crunk''

That's along the lines of what I'm thinking. He wrote it that way because that's exactly what he meant. I'm sure there are plenty of times where he could slip in different words throughout his songs to satisfy some scheme, even if very subtly, but if it ends up changing the thought itself then it isn't a worthy sacrifice.

Exactly.
Also, you might think changing a word here and there might be easy, but often the words Eminem chooses are chosen so that the enunciation is as smooth as possible. Even one slight syllable adjustment can throw off the whole flow of something and stuff that looks better on paper doesn't always work vocally.
It's about balancing vocal clarity, voice acting, flow, rhyme schemes and meaning at the same time, with an obvious priority for meaning. It's very hard to do and it's what separates netcees from actual rappers.

Underlined part from "Asshole" sounds like "toilet training" to me.
