Quite nice but I prefered the last Man U layout.
Try and not be too structured, break free and try and be a bit more creative.
The actual page would be structured as you have in the layout, but the layout doesn't need to be a bunch of boxes and gradients. Try and experiment with curves and use contrast with colours. Using different shades of the same color usually fails and does here, notice all sites have some kind of contrast ( the site is blue/grey and the forum is red/grey for example ).
Keep working on it bro, the first layouts will always be the hardest.
