First time poster from Leicestershire, England

I found this site Friday night when I was trying to find out who the guests were for my ten year old son who I was taking to the show Saturday night

Great info on here and clearly some true eminem fanatics

Myself I am 45 years old and loved eminem when he first came on the scene

Somehow entirely unconnected to me my ten year old son discovered eminem when he was 8 and has followed him like an addict ever since

He's gradually persuaded his mum to allow him to download uncensored albums and songs etc by promising not to listen to the swear words

He must know as much about eminem as any young kid in England at least. He tells me new stories about eminem every day

So I was slightly concerned about concerns about the sound system and people commenting on friday that the crowd were falt and just standing there watching etc

Well we went saturday. We were high up in the stadium about on the halfway line.

What can I say. The show was stunning. My son was in tears when eminem came on stage and he was open mouthed in awe from start to finish. Me and him will never forget the night. A great father and son experience.

As for the crowd. Although 80 per cent had seats nobody sat down and nobody stood still that I could say. On saturday all I could see everywhere were fans absolutely loving the experience the same as us.

I feel the people who had sound problems on friday were very unlucky in wherever they were stood.

Zero complaints from me and my son. Top three experiences of my life.

We need to see him again somehow.

Let’s get one thing cleared up first, I’m not an Eminem hater or after a refund. I just wanted to hear my idol.

This is for all the Eminem Stans on Twitter (yes, I called you a Stan) piping up to his defence (when I am not targeting him) telling people to stop complaining about the sound quality, when I was listening to him when you were in nappies. Mmm. kay.

I’ve been a fan of Eminem for 15 years. I’ve refused to see him at any festivals and promised myself to see him when he got his own UK gig, only to be left upset and hugely frustrated.

This is from Block 226, Row 6.

This video shows the sounds quality for the entire time. It's not the phone that makes this audio sound bad, apart from losing some bass, this is exactly what it sounded like (actually sounds better on the phone). Playing "let's try and rap along to a song by piecing together what fractions of lines you can here and an approximate guess at the verse he must be on" was a tiny bit of fun, but mainly just made me mad. People kidding themselves that they were having a good time was just embarrassing when they had to stop mid dance to say "what song is this?" Because they actually couldn't hear it! Damn you Wembley.

What’s a girl to do?
Try and hear her idol!

So I gave it over an hour before I thought, I can’t do this anymore; I just want to hear him.
The crowd was amazing, the atmosphere couldn’t be faulted and you could tell by watching Eminem, he was doing an amazing job.

The ticket says complaints about audio have to be done during the event and not after. Complaints after are not valid. A get out clause basically. So I did it at the event to the 212 Club Wembley customer services, just asking for us to simply go and find some un used seats somewhere (as there were plenty scattered about) the answer was no.
I wasn’t after an upgrade, I was after a downgrade and all I wanted to do was HEAR my idol. She told me they hired the venue and it was their sound, though I've read the other way round. I was told I need to contact my ticket provider to make a complaint, who let’s face it aren't going to do anything. Who actually can’t do anything for me after - I couldn’t have made it more clear to her, I didn't want a refund, I just wanted to move to where I could hear it. It was admitted to me by her, all staff and stewards I spoke to that the sound quality was an issue, but they were unable to let us anywhere else apart from where our tickets were.
Why though?
If you’re admitting to the fault and you have spare seats or space in standing, why not just let us move?

I tried myself by going into a couple of boxes, explained the situation and was told they couldn’t do anything. We tried one more time when we were leaving and no luck. You can't get into standing or lower stands with our tickets either.

We left ¾ of the way though because we couldn't hear one thing being said or performed, I actually shed a tear in frustration over this. Even when not performing and when Eminem was talking into the crowd, you couldn't hear what he said. This is no exaggeration. I didn’t even catch one word from his intro trailer either.

I'll get over, it but I feel cheated, massively frustrated and he literally is my idol, so it was a tease - so I'd rather have not gone and not had to feel this disappointment. Am I ever going to see him again? Not in my lifetime, I can’t afford flights to America to go and see him.
So I'm bummed out.

If you imagine your idol and someone said hey, give me £230 and you can see them perform and then they go hahaha jokes, you can just look at him for the set.
This is my pain!
Feel my pain!
He's a rap god, as much as it was awesome to look at him, I need to hear him. He's my idol because of his words. He's a lyrical genius.

Good things that came from it?
This is me trying to put a positive spin on a bad feeling
- I saw him
- I saw Dre
- I rapped at him even though I couldn't hear him
- Dead wrong and Forgot about Dre was amazing
- He literally is one of the best rappers of all time and the part of rap god I caught proved that
- He's hot‪ #dilf
- I went to wembley and experienced the atmosphere on that scale
- I'll pay to meet him and backstage it when I win the lottery (pahaha we can all dream)
- Kuniva from D12 tweeted me this weekend

Bad luck of the draw and a lesson learned about Wembley for me. It is what it is, nothing I can do about it now. We tried. It just sucks!

The end.

Just read your review.
I'm a fan of Em about 13-14 years too, but he's not my idol. :)

Still buzzing now tbh

Boy did they sell some merchandise

We got there 8 hours before the show started

Long queues then for three official stalls with plenty of staff

Those queues stayed that way all day and after the show were even longer than before the show

Must have taken a fortune

We spent a lot of money before and would have spent more after the show were it not for the queues

This was my first eminem show, and I was standing.. It was the Best night of my life! To see the people I've idolised for a long time, eminem and dre, in person was amazing. It was so great to see people who I've until now only seen in videos, Such as porter and alchemist.

Definitely worth the hours of standing just for the atmosphere and view. I was so close to the front I couldn't believe it. I feel complete as a stan

Also being a big fan of odd future, I got to see 2 concerts I've wanted to go to for ages in 1 go

Man, that really sucks.

Down near the front it wasn't bad, I could hear everything fine (Not great, but I could easily understand him and pick out each instrument etc). Your video confirms what I've heard from other people, the sound was disgraceful in some parts of the stadium. Seems like you got unlucky (But don't feel too bad, seems like the sound was shit from a number of different parts of the stadium)

I really think you have a case for complaint here. That is not acceptable. It's a long shot, but I think you should attempt to get in touch with Wembley/Live Nation customer services, despite the whole complaints need to be registered while in the venue thing. You even have video evidence. It'

It's worth a try, what's the worst that can happen?

On the bright side though, you don't know for sure he won't return. Shady records/whoever puts these on no doubt is aware of these complaints, so if he does return (and there's loads of demand for him, so loads of money and incentive to return the UK) you can bet he won't be back in Wembley. Fingers crossed!

There's always the festivals as well, it's not quite the same but it's still the same set list/band/porter etc! I'm sure there will be more opportunities

"A band takes away from the music" is an oxymoron.

It adds to the music. It takes away from the rap. And there ain't no way 90,000 people are filling Wembley stadium to see a rapper, his crew, and a backing track.

Don't kid yourself.
