Chelsea destroyed him.
Though to be fair he was looking kinda shaky during his last few months in a Liverpool shirt

Hesky wrote:It makes you wonder if his work ethic in training etc. dropped after signing for Chelsea for all that money, he couldn't handle the pressure psychologically and it began to mount with every poor performance, or a combination of both?

Injuries and confidence tbh. He's lost a lot of pace which was a big part of his game. He's also had a lot of bad moments in a Chelsea shirt which obviously affected his confidence.

He can still put in some pretty good performances such as the one vs City at home.

Today in the street a moroccan guy was trying to sell the pink Real Madrid second equipation to all the girls.

It was funny because he was avoiding the guys. I admit I really like the color. But I can't picture many guys wearing this.

The greatest of all time... :worship:

It might be the fact that Los Blancos have courted him for years, albeit without success. It might be that seeing that jersey brings out the best in him. Either way it's never a dull match when Francesco Totti and Real Madrid meet. When given the chance, Los Merengues president Florentino Perez clearly says: “My biggest regret? Not signing Totti for my Galacticos side.” Totti was flattered by the interest in him but it didn't lead to a deal, as Francesco explained in an interview with France Football several years ago: “I was close to joining Real Madrid in 2004. Had I moved there I would have won three Champions Leagues, two Ballon d'Ors and a host of other titles. I would have had more opportunities, no doubt about it. But I prefer the choice I made and luckily I've spent my whole career at Roma.” After scoring the winner in the most recent meeting with the reigning European champions in the Guinness Cup, he added that “Real Madrid are my second team and I'm honored to have been applauded by the Spanish supporters.”

He has always been highly thought of in Spain. The newspaper Marca, describing his strike last night, dubbed him “The timeless captain”. As we've already mentioned, when Roma and Real meet, Totti has often come to the fore, scoring on more than one occasion. The teams have met 10 times since 1993 – in friendlies and the Champions League – recording four wins and two draws apiece. Four, the same number of goals the captain has scored in those games: his first was a penalty in a Champions League match on September 11, 2001 (the same day as the tragedy in America) but the Giallorossi went on to lose 2-1. The most recent goal was in Dallas, in the new Nike uniform. He stroked home with his right for a goal that conjured up memories of his strike on the night of October 30, 2002 in the Champions League: his finish would prove crucial in a Roma win in the Bernabeu. And Casillas was also the keeper beaten that day.

His Spanish hot streak is not however limited to Real Madrid: Totti has hit 12 goals in 39 matches against Spanish opposition. His double against Valencia at the Mestalla in the Champions League stands out, but he has also contributed some less important but equally memorable goals. For instance his side volley against Barcelona in a friendly on October 5, 1994 when he was just 18 years old. It ended 3-3 with both teams seeing red: Giannini for Roma, Guardiola for Barça. Two iconic players for their teams back then, who are now coaching and long since retired. Totti, 20 years on, is still Roma's icon.

Grazie grande capitano.... :worship:

Wasn't even mad when he scored.

Absolutely... Totti was meant to be a Galactico & Real made many offers to make that happen but he just couldn't leave Roma.
