why Him Shadow? Him - Slim, Shadow - Shady...
I was 12 so don't judge me

Don't feel so bad, i started rapping around the time MMLP came out, my rap name was M-80 and i wrote my own "mmlp" album, with each song being a variant name of each song on Eminem's album, exept i wrote it to fit my own life, shit was embarassing as fuck
i went from M80 to Dirty MC, to Emcee T, i had Skittlez (ppl nicknamed me that), Kray-Z-Eye, D'Evil1 (inspired by a Jay-Z song on reasonable doubt), Riddles 2 Ashes, and then Young Hughes, all before i started using Atone lol
funny thing, Mat Demaz has a song featuring me from when i was using the "Young Hughes" name, it's the only song out that has me listed as that name to lol
But i chose Atone for deeper reasons, let me school ya

I was working as a debt negoiator, and at the time, one of the guys in my office, was a singer/songwriter in a rock group that had a fair share of record deals, and while talking to him about my music, he gave me alot of advice, told me that i need to choose a name that has meaning because thats what makes people want to check you out, thats what labels look for, so i took his advice
and my original name was ATone, as in, at one with the world, and Atonement for my past sins, and it worked well with my real name (Tony), but i wanted it to have bigger meaning, so i made it an acronym, A.T.O.N.E is something i made up, that means "Alive To Overcome Negative Energy"
now, i began using this name, created a twitter and all, and one day on twitter, a DJ from Detroit tweeted me about my name, saying he had the name first, DJ Atone, so i respected that, so, i added "The Underdog" to my name,
Atone The Underdog, and it works for me, because alot of my music is about being an underdog in life
and it works cuz, nobody else has any similar name, so you google Atone The Underdog, and the first, 5 or 6 pages are nothing but me and my music.
