Who is Marshall Mathers Really?

I, like most Stans feel like I know Marshall Mathers. I feel like we are friends and I have a clear understanding of what Marshall is like in real life, but what do we really know about who he is? On No Apologies he says that he cannot stress enough that we really don't know who he is as a person. Since his comeback he has been even more introverted and reclusive. His interviews that we hear are obviously somewhat scripted and planned out. There is Marshall before he was famous, there is Marshall in the peak of his fame while he was constantly under the influence, and there is the post comeback Marshall. I wonder how much of his interviews and apperances is an act or persona like his albums how much is truly genuine, and I wonder if he even has a clear understanding of who Marshall Mathers is anymore

Well I have listened to his music almost everday since i was 10 and im 22 now, and i watch his interviews and shit like that all the time, so i do kinda feel like he is my friend and I have an idea of who he is, so the post is directed towards people who feel in a similar way, which i know there are people who grew up with him like i did

I'm just trying to dig deeper than he's not our friend and he' s just an entertainer, they call us Stans for a reason, it's because we love they guy, not just as an entertainer but in a deeper way, music has a way of touching the soul in a special way, and people like to feel like they know who is behind the microphone
