It's tooo soon for the song to be even mentioned is such talks about the "Greatest Song of All Time". It's fresh. Give it about 5-6 years and we'll talk about this based on how much people still like that song then

I'm only saying that no publication will ever rank it top 100.

We have over 40 years of hip-hop music in the books, Eminem will definitely make the list.... but it won't be for Rap God. He has far greater songs than it tbh.

I say Stan, The Way I Am, Sing for the Moment, and Lose Yourself are definitive classics that would make the list, but I'm not sure they'd put anything else. Same goes for artists like Jay, Nas, Big, and Pac.... they'd get 3-4 songs themselves and would probably be the only artists to do so.

I can also see Outkast, Kanye, and Rakim getting 3 songs in.... but that's about it.

Sing For The Moment may be amazing. But it did not have the effect or the reactions Rap God had.

How do you know, though?

Different eras. There was no Youtube when Sing For The Moment was released. No Twitter or Facebook. The internet was still pretty young.

Not to mention, no effort was made to create a video for Sing For The Moment (it was a bunch of footage thrown together), the video didn't come out for a year and the single was promoted less than Rap God. But a shit load of people loved Sing For The Moment at the time. It was just one of many great Eminem songs coming out at the time, and it was overshadowed by the success of Lose Yourself.

I can guarantee in ten years' time, far more people will remember the words to Sing For The Moment than they will Rap God. It's a much more memorable song.
