I have to say, this is the first forum I've been on that's driven by celebrating posts counts and wants to achieve a colour on your name that means nothing, essentially. Then people are bumming people with colours on their names thinking that will get them a colour.

The sign of a good forum has just mods/admins - the end.

The best forums I've been on is where the users wind up the mods/admins by pushing rules then getting banned and coming back after a few days. You can't beat a forum full of banter. I've been banned from cars forums several times for shit like this back in the day. In actual fact, it's against your forum religion to want to be on the other side, cause they're usually the wankers

This forum is great as it allows swearing and sex talk, it's realistic but there is no cap on spam, trolling or topic derails.
That keeps this forum busy though, if you didn't allow the above I think it would die. A forum is also aimed at people of all ages, the majority here are young and it does get easily out of hand.

First thing I noticed about this forum was testosterone and immaturity, hence me wanting to place my vote on an elder user. I think the selection you have as mods seems to work and the balance is right. It's everything below that charging for a colour that doesn't work imo.

People don't like change but sometimes you gotta update.

the idea of a mandatory period of time for vets is fucking stupid. it's not like i joined the forum last week. if people feel that a certain member has done enough to deserve it, that should be all that matters. while i don't particularly care about winning, i think it should be determined in a fair manner. i also think having longevity isn't worth shit by itself
