I do agree that he is at least depressed. To want to always be high must have some root in depression because he's not satisfied with his life when he's sober. Also the fact that he can't seem to find enjoyment in other activities points to it too.

I wish you the best JS, I've lost a few of my family members due to severe depression so I know just how serious It can be. Just remember you have a gf, family and friends (and TR) that can give you advice.
I do think you should definitely seek professional help though to help get you through this, it really helped a friend of mine out recently and now he's on the up

There are completely sober people who have been looking for months. Silver, I think you should move back home, it'll ease some of the stress. Maybe you aren't ready to live on your own. Try to talk to your family about how you feel.
