Does anybody actually rate Infinite?

Postby Cortex » Aug 18th, '14, 14:41

I've been on these forums for a few years now and I rarely do I see anyone talking about Infinite which makes me wonder, does anyone actually enjoy the album? Personally I think it's a pretty solid album, obviously no where near the standards of MMLP or TES which are often regarded as his best albums, but it is still a great album.

It's ok. Production is bloody horrible but it's still quite a fun listen.

Listened to the album maybe twice in my life. I just don't like it except like 2 or 3 songs

It's a great album but it's in a whole different era where things weren't really cohesive

It's aight. Very lackluster compared to pretty much everything Em did afterwards. Em was just finding his feet and discovering himself so you gotta take that into consideration.

I can't rate it amongst his other albums because it really isn't fair. It's solid, though, and I'll throw it on every once in a blue moon.

Infinite is a great song.

I quite like it actually; but I consider it more of an EP due to its length. Therefore, I don't ever rank it among his LPs.

Plenty of brilliant rhyme schemes, but Eminem's personality doesn't really come through. He was kind of like Carlin prior to the 1990s - a genius, but he didn't yet realize that what he really wanted was to take a dark/negative outlook on life in his art. It's OK was how he originally intended Rock Bottom to sound - positive and uplifting in the face of struggle. Then he heard the beat and went, "fuck it. I'm going to make this as angry and desperate as possible."
