Apple Credit Card (Help)

Postby Chalky » Aug 20th, '14, 00:16

Hello, I was approved awhile back from Apple the barclaycard, for a limit of 1,700$

I just purchased an Macbook Air for 826$ & an Apple TV for 100$ which turns out to be 936.
& after I purchased these products they gave my available credit limit was 610.
Now what I wanna know is did Apple just recently increased my credit limit or is it just what I have left still to owe, I'm so confused on this.

- Current Balance: What you have spent so far this month on your credit card (the "month" is not necessarily a calendar month)
- Statement Balance: What you spent last month on your credit card. This is what you need to pay back ASAP.
- Available Credit: How much you can still spend this month.
- Credit Line: How much you can spend every month.

Nice, so I get to spend 1,310. Looks like I can get that iMac i've always wanted :D

It's not jus about having/using your credit card but about repaying your outstanding balance as well.

Agree, I just made a payment of 700$ cause my bill was due yesterday (the 18th). So hopefully paying that will do me good later.

That's less that your statement balance.
You will be paying interest on the rest. You know the APR for this card?
Consider setting up a standing order to pay back the full amount every month.

I'm lost. The Statement Balance is what I still owe on my credit? I thought that was what the 389 was, maybe my payment hasn't came in yet and it's still pending to take off of the 928.

Would be weird if I still owe that much, my last payment was much smaller, I only made the payment of 25$ that was the minimum, I sent that much to them because I didn't make enough that month.

It's a slippery slope to be paying for things with credit when you barely earn enough to pay the minimum repayments.

I'm guessing the $700 came from tax or something? Hopefully you can afford to make a few more substantial payments.

Nah, just worked hard as hell these last 2 months in the summer so I am gonna be receiving some huge checks, so when I get them then whatever bills I have I will use that money to pay off whatever I can.
