You judge people for skimming TES but when's the last time you listened to the album?

The only songs in which he tries to seriously address politics are White America and Square Dance, neither of which make him come off as some try-hard political activist.

His comment on his whiteness being responsible for not only his immense popularity but the unfair scrutiny of every move he makes and word he says is appropriate and still rings true today in "post-racial" (lel) America, and then in Square Dance he discusses the tragedy of young lives being ruined by the draft, censorship, etc.

Now, maybe if we're talking about Mosh I could agree with you, but that's on Encore and a completely different beast of ignorant proportions.

It's unpopular, but I really don't like TES much either. Technically he's strong on it, it's cohesive, and all that yeah. I just don't really related to anything he's saying on it, and it's not interesting enough to hold my attention elsewise.

Relapse isn't really something to relate to either, but it holds my attention better.

I'd rather listen to Relapse. That's not to say it's "the better album", but I'd rather listen to it personally.

I don't understand why it's hipsterish to not like one of his bigger albums. Everyone has different tastes.

Yeah, but at the end of the day you guys should be mature enough to realize that someone else thinking it's complete trash shouldn't have any impact on you. You know what I'm saying? I think a band like Coldplay is complete trash, but there's still a lot of people who think they're amazing. Does my opinion impact them? Nope. Theirs doesn't impact me either.

A lot of people on this forum get incredibly worked up over what is, at the end of the day, just a bunch of opinions from random people.

Let me back up for a second. It has nothing to do with me being offended that someone has that opinion. I was under the impression that people started to dislike TES, when it used to be considered easily top 3, maybe top 2. My question, "when did it stop being dope" was genuine in that I didn't know if a trend had started where people agreed for some reason that it sucked. I'm not attacking him, I just didnt know when all of the sudden the sway of opinion happened.

It's not really a sudden shift though. Based, myself, and a few others have said we don't see the appeal of The Eminem Show for a long while. It's not a lot of people really saying it either. I'd still consider it one of his best works, especially technically, but it doesn't interest me and I find it boring. I've always said that, based has always held his standpoint on it too.

People's tastes change also. It's only annoying if they're clearly hating on something just to fit in, and really, liking something just to fit in is just as bad. If you know what I mean. There's always going to be people who are like that though.

If you know me in any capacity you know I exaggerate and prefer to offend stupid people who don't fucking get my posts.

I see it in the same vein as saying Tech N9ne sucks, he's technically great, but he's boring. TES is well put together, some of the instrumentals are good and the rapping is pretty good as well, despite all that the lyrical content makes me chuckle at best, and the majority of the album is the most boring in Eminem's discography.

And it makes me angrier because it's biggest defenders are foreigners who do not know the English language and probably only listen to Eminem, and I like to offend said people because they are stupid and will write me paragraphs of responses I won't read, there.
