Too simple.

Then again it's hip hop.

Some are brilliant; Love You More, Brainless, Lose Yourself.
Some not so much; Renegade.
Asylum is crisp af.
I like So Much Better too, it sounds sort of carnival-esque and cartoonish.
Most of his production is usually simple, which doesn't make it any less effective.
Seriously, Love You More has my all time favorite production next to East FlatBush Project's Tried By 12.

I think he is a good producer, I usually like his beats and they fit perfectly with his style.

TES being his best produced album (imo) is saying something.

My fav beats from him:

Lose Yourself
Sing for the Moment
Drips (yes)
Till' I Collapse
The Way I Am
American Psycho
Patiently Waiting

I've always enjoyed his beats much more than anybody else's.

He creates original melodies which makes his beats unique, even beats like "Square Dance" - you can just hear that weird ass rhythm started in his head as some lil sound and he expands it, relays it to musicians and the whole thing just sounds unlike any other producer's beats apart from Dre's of course.

Em's beats sounds comfortable alongside Dre's as he obviously learned from Dre, but I think Em's best beats have an edge because of his stronger ear for melody and his ability to create it.

The stand-out beat on MMLP is "The Way I Am" and those were Dre's golden years. Then even on TES, the stand-out beats are Em's, same with Encore.

He's a top-ass producer. If he didn't rap / never rapped, he would be much more highly rated by people.

I agree with most of that but I gotta say that the stand out beats on Encore were all Dre's for me, aside from Yellow Brick Road.

Also I dunno why Gordy's record wasn't under Shady, it was a pretty good album imo

He was never signed. He was close enough to Eminem's camp to get some work from him, as well as an appearance by Obie though. He's was signed to Web Entertainment at the time (and he might still be, I'm not sure, he fell out with them after The Entity but released Xerxes on Web in 2010), so he had a decent amount of Eminem and Bass Brothers involvement. Luis Resto also was involved with the album.

According to Wikipedia, these are the tracks Eminem produced on:

Label could've been great if it were independent.....

Menzo wrote:Yeah Gordy coulda been a decent signing

I'm honestly pretty surprised nothing materialized out of The Entity for Gordy. The album was a little rough, but it showed potential that he could have been at least somewhat successful. If you dig through his now-horrorcore oriented stuff to find his non-horrorcore songs, the dude can really rap.

He just seems to have the worst fucking luck of all time. I think he was supposed to sign to Strange Music as a member of Project: Deadman, and that fell apart too and he just ended up as a couple of features on their shit.

Bad luck Gordy.

You know Iv been thinking about that, they all gotta know that Bizarre isnt a very good rapper. Who brought him into the group lol...

I remember hearing Eminem talk about the inception of d12 "we wanted the 12 dopest MCs, but couldnt find em so we got 6( paraphrased)" Bizarre was one of the dopest MCs at the time? I find that extremely hard to believe.

Bizarre created the idea for D-12 to make the sickest shit that they could think of. He and Proof hung out, Proof introduced Bizarre to Em, and in the Hip Hop Shop he would shut shit down because of what he was saying to his competitors. He and Em were two of the top battlers there. So Proof decided to start The Dirty Dozen and recruited the two of them first.

Did not know that, thats really interesting, haha thanks dude :b:
