This one seems to be unpopular on here with some: 97 B&C's beat is better than the original Just The Two of Us' beat. The same can be said about Whether or Not.

Because they have no personalities. Royce is the only one who does.
When you listen to D12 (since it's an easy comparison), they're exciting. They tell stories. They make jokes. They play off each other very well in their verses as if it's just conversation between buddies that happens to rhyme about some funny / relateable stuff.
Objectively, the Slaughterhouse guys are better individual rappers, but D12 as a group is more exciting. They have a flare and personality about them that makes you wanna listen to them. Slaughterhouse lacks this in my opinion.
Could you picture them fucking around on a track like My Band? Probably not. They're no fun.
It's like if you went to watch a dance competition and had to choose between the act that was technically better, but bland, or the act that wasn't as technical, but way more flashy and exciting to watch. It's a matter of taste I suppose in the end. Maybe more people have a taste for the exciting style.
Joe Budden has(/had) personality, but doesn't express it as well as he used to because he's been influenced by the rest of Slaughterhouse to focus on bars and rhyming.
Geno got it right here pretty much, but the comparison to D12 was stupid, because D12 are shit.
