StayWideAwake wrote:Not one is incredible? Bad Guy and Legacy are incredible songs. Eminem is not losing credibility. 99% of people in the industry still talk about him as one of the greatest. The only people that act like he "sucks" or "isn't hip hop" are people on the internet and Jay Electronica. Kendrick is one of the best in the game right now and just put Em in his top 5. Game calls him the best rapper alive. Peter Rosenberg called him the GOAT just a few months ago. When Complex wrote about Rap God they said it's another example of how he raps better than anyone on the planet. Rolling Stone just called him untouchable. After listening to MMLP2 Tyler The Creator said Eminem is still making songs that make him feel like a complete failure. Macklemore just said Eminem is one of the greatest. Drake called Eminem the greatest of all time. Chuck D said Rap God is in his top 20 hip hop songs of all time. Tech N9ne just said he thinks Em is the best rapper alive. Rittz posted a picture on instagram of him listening to MMLP2 saying Em is the greatest of all time. Every single one of those were made towards present day Eminem. Eminem has absurd amounts of credibility.
I know that and I'm happy to hear something like this about Em because me too I think he is one of the GOAT. But you know, when I listen Guts Over Fear or Asshole, Space Bound, Survival, The Monster etc etc I'm worry for Em. And yes he is losing credibility from people who wants to hear real Hip-Hop. You have mentionned rappers close of him, Kendrick, Game, Tyler, Tech, Drake... Man it's normal if they said that about him! I met Ugly Heroes, they are from Detroit like Em, they are underground and they did some real shit, I spoke with them and you know what? They refuse to listen Eminem from Recovery. Yes he is still one of the best and he has respect from everyone, but he has to change a lot of thing to release a great next album (production firstly)
