Where did the Eminem on Psycho go? He sounds effortless on that song. That's how you ride a beat. His multis haven't been that crisp ever since.

Groundhog Day, Going through Changes, Baby, Evil Twin

You Dont think he sounds smooth and effortless on those?

And I got an Evil Twin

For the most part, there's nothing smooth about any of these songs. I never shared this board's hard-on for Groundhog Day. I find his delivery/flow boring, and many of his rhymes are forced - ah! Feels like I've said this a kabillion times. All I ever do is find different ways to word the same old post.

I remember when that came out and I heard him say that he was keeping the "savage batch hid," I got carried away in visions of Eminem coming out with something that resembled MMLP. My imagination really ran wild when he dropped the accent post-Relapse but continued the rhyme computer style.

At some point, he decided that even his "emotion-driven" songs on Encore were better than Relapse. Note how in that one interview where he's asked what songs of his he went back and listened to, the first few things he named were Encore songs (Evil Deeds, Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers). And the weird part is, he's still been extremely focused on the rhyme schemes ever since...almost too much so, as it seems to play a part in his delivery choices (emphasizing intricate rhymes that he's afraid people might not notice..."the ME-di-A made ME-THEE-UHHH/quivalent." Someone needs to show him the thread on Shady Chit Chat and perhaps he'll have an epiphany and go back to playing Where's Multido.

Meh, Psycho's verse was good no doubt but it isn't the creme de la creme of post-comeback Em imo

"I'm the nightmare you fell asleep and then woke up still in
I'm your karma closing in with each stroke of a pen"

"I'm your time that's almost up that you haven't acknowledged,
Grab for some water, but I'm the pill that's too jagged to swallow!"

"I represent everything, you take for granted
Cause Marshall Mathers the rapper's persona's half a facade
And Matthew and Stan's just symbolic
Of you not knowing what you had 'til it's gone"

"Behold the, final chapter in a saga
Trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle
Twice, the magic that started
It all, tragic portrait of an artist tortured trapped in his own drawings
Tap into thoughts blacker and darker
Than anything imaginable"

Easily some of the best lines of Em's entire career. Not to mention the Stan-esque third verse and the excellent hook.
