I don't know what single he could possibly release that could top that Rap God moment. The album isn't perfect, but it's hard to imagine him surpassing the highest points of MMLP2.
Extremely great point

I'd hate to use myself as an example but one time I wrote a verse in the CW section that was titled Old Hurt. It was rather emotional and ppl gave me a lot of praise for it. I myself thought it was a huge improvement over my previous pieces in the CW section. But this is where things got "weird." The next piece I tried writing (mind you I had a different mindset) I could not even come close to the "greatness" that was Old Hurt. My next couple of pieces were rather subpar even for my level which is not that great. The point I'm trying to make is that I completely agree with you SWA. It is so easy for someone to think that Eminem is in such a cool creative place with MMLP 2 that his work in the near future will all be amazing and on par with MMLP 2; not necessarily so.
I was writing pretty average pieces and then out of nowhere I write a pretty decent piece in the CW section but then my next few were duds. The same scenario could be applied to MMLP 2, not that I'd want it to it's just that it's a possibility. Just because an artist is in a really cool artistic period and creates something magnificent does not mean that their next project will even be close to as amazing as the previous one. It really is very unpredictable. And as Aone pointed out: the change from TES to Encore and from Relapse to Recovery was massive and definitely showed a creative decline. You never know what you're gonna get from an artist and you can't predict the quality of their next work based off of their most recent project. Eminem could drop a completely unexpected classic tomorrow and we'd all be blown away or we could wait another couple years only to get another subpar Eminem album like Encore. Obviously I'm exaggerating a bit but my point is you just don't know.
