I think CP pretty much hit the nail on the head.
I think live performances are more about the atmosphere and vibing along with thousands of people than actually viewing the performance with a critical eye.
I think it's the same for every live performer.
I didn't actually see Em live pre-hiatus though, so maybe that's why I can't relate to what you're saying, but I've seen you YouTube videos, and he seems to have traded fluidity for intensity and precision, I just don't mind it as much as you seem to.
Also lol, your sig wasn't a hit song, fam.

Seeing him live front row at metlife, I can speak from first hand experience it was amazing, the energy he brought to the table was almost intoxicating. Im sure I have a biased view point, but then you could say that about anybody for anything involving their favorite artists live performances. Its not the same watching it on youtube and being there. Everything looks better in person. Atleast at Metlife it did. The dude was running around on stage, doing the songs amazingly. Flawlessly isnt a word I would use because its never going to sound as crisp as the actual record, but the songs were elevated in different ways.

As far as the Rap God performance, I really dont see how one coudlnt see it as at least good. I dont usually say shit like this, but if you thought performance was genuinely bad, I think youre objectively wrong.

And, for the dude above who seems to have forgotten; people doubted that he could pull it off because his previous performance just days before, was marred with accusations of lip-synching, then he pulls off the wordiest, prolly most difficult to perform hit song ever flawlessly live the next day.
Pretty epic shit.
Also, I think his performances are brilliant, and The Monster Tour was breathtaking, you seem to be the only one who has a problem with it.

I don't have a problem with his performances at all, I just think his technique needs work. He should know better, anyway, but like he said, he had to teach himself how to be on stage again, which should came naturally, I mean, come on... I saw him on stage live when he was here, and he sounded pretty good. I think maybe the pressure just gets to him sometimes. I feel like he gives people as much as he can and I have no problem with that.

Honestly, I think people should perform the way they feel comfortable the most, but sometimes you have to sacrifice being comfortable for being on point.

His best comeback performance next to the Renegade performance on Letterman.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

The show at MetLife was fucking sweet. He had a lot of energy, the crowd gave off a lot of energy, the sets were blended well...it was awesome. You could watch the video on YouTube and say that we liked it because we were bias or something but being at the show is a much better way to rate his performance. It was incredible.

I have been to a Tech show though, and he was really cool. Krizz Kaliko, Ces Cru and Mayday were all there. The crowd was way too weird and creepy but other than that they put on a great show.

Yeah, the show was pretty seamless, the way they put it together was pretty interesting. I agree about being better able to rate a performance by actually being there, it really is totally different. It was one of the best nights of my life. Yeah i believe it, I feel like his shows have to be pretty cool given how high energy his music is. Same with other artists on Strange.
