Burning any kind of books is destuctive, but the bible. To some people (me) the bible is their life and seeing people blatantly destroy it hurts. Call me whatever but i know what i believe.

destroying religion would be the next step for man kind.

Just see for urself, the effects of religion on societies:

Fascists: religious fanatics
Muslim extrimists: religious fanatics
Protestan christians: american offence wars

But what Becca said was right...people do live their lives to these books and seek help with stuff through 'em. I don't have a problem with that....but it's when people take some things TOO seriously. Plus when they try and feed you all that crap with the stories in it  I know how it feels to be fed fiction shit

Its either u tolerate religious fanatism and a concept that de-values life in a promise of eternity, or u live reality and value each moment of ur life, the only life u get.

I belive in a persons personal belief, but people should keep beliefs to themselves. Churches, mosks, religious brainwashing books - should be bannned.

Soviet union was religion-free. Wen it became outlawed, literacy tripled, crime decreased, morals changed. Yet even though this idea of "god was kicked of mainstream people believe wat they want, they just cant influence as easy. Ud have to experience an atheist society to understnad it, i lived in both, and studied protestant christian religion.

i am a catholic because i believe in God and his word. i believe in Jesus and the fact that he died on the cross for our sins so God can forgive us and we can go to heaven when we die. i believe that there is one God and one God only. i believe in the 10 Commandments and i believe in the Beatitudes.

my mom did make me be a catholic when i was 1 but i took it into my own hands to become a better one and stay true to my beliefs.

If u grew up in an atheist society u wouldnt give a shit bout god. God was brainwashed into you. people "belived" in things, even before jesus, they belived in sea monsters and mermades.

Andi almost forgot to mention, they belived theworld was flat, infact people were pretty confident of that.

The bible is a buch of fables, some are even violent, u can either learn a lesson from them or u can be a moron and belive in fairy tales.

Fuck god, fuck his mother, and his baby jesus, im glad he "died for my sins" sins like the ones that god himself installed in me, with hormones, organs and will to compete.

i believe in god and im a christian ... and i think its wrong to burn the bible. thats just kinda common sense for a christian that thats wrong. but im not one of those really religious people. im not gonna yell at someone b/c there not christian. but yeah i think its wrong ... but they do have a right to do that. if christians can go around tellin people about god on the corners of streets and stuff then i think people that dont believe in god etc ... should be able to do the same. but i just dont agree with it ... but it really doesnt affect me b/c i know i am straight with god. and thats all im worried about! :D

i agree, people generalize christians as crazy people who believe in fantasies and force their religion on people. That is wrong and not all christians (me) are like that. "christians" did some pretty bad things in the past and are still doing them (Bush) but once again that is not all. Burning books that make people feel better is wrong.
