But it's like he doesn't understand you can be technical and have a beast flow that actually fits with the song, and doesn't sound forced. I don't see how his verse is an enjoyable listening experience.

I don't have a lot of hope going into Shady XV now. The cypher was dope as fuck, but idk man.

Calm Down verse.....it's like he's cramming every line and forgot how to flow naturally with the beat, although the beat was terrible on that.

Twerk Dat Pop That......same problem as here, he's rapping super fast trying to be super complex, and it doesn't work IMO. It just sounds like a jumbled mess.

Guts Over Fear.....first verse was meh not that great IMO, but he did kill the 2nd verse. He executed that one well even with this style I'm not feeling.

Now Detroit vs Everybody....same problem as before. He's packing every line with a million words for the sake of being super complex. Tell me he couldn't have restructured his verse and slowed down, had something that sounded a million times better. Idk just my opinion.

I just wanna hear Em do what he was doing on Bad Guy, Groundhog Day, Brainless, Evil Twin, etc.

He doesnt even rap fast on Calm Down, I don't hear the syllable cramming at all. Theres a lot of them sure, but none of it feels like hes just trying too hard. I'd like some more traditional stuff as well for a couple of the songs, but I like that hes still trying to push himself in different ways.

Don't tell me we are ALREADY to the point where everyone is saying "But I want him to do it like he did on MMLP2!"

Lol this shit's not "syllable cramming", it's normal double time flow. The Trick Trick song was syllable cramming, this isn't. And anyone who thinks he was doing it on "Calm Down" and "Guts Over Fear" doesn't even deserve to have an opinion.

I've been listening to Em since he first blew, I'm not saying WHERE'S THE EM FROM HIS PRIME.....nah

Just saying where's the Em that dropped those cuts in MMLP2 last year???

This stuff sounds like a regress from MMLP2 and HTS imho

That's because he's the fucking man.

He does have a great flow whether you like it or not. Listen to Without Me. If you say you still don't like the spastic flow with crazy syllables, fine. It's a matter of taste. But if you listen to those first two verse and tell me those rhymes and flows are fine, and now he's "syllable cramming" with weird flows...I'm going to call you a hypocrite. Straight up.

Yea he is haha.

EDIT: I agree.

Since the day I went insane and attacked the baby sitter
With a potato peeler and mushed her face into the entertainment center
It's like another plane just entered into Ukraine again
The Bermuda Triangle and attempted to make a safety descent
Awaiting anyone who ain't affiliated, it could be danger
Did you make arrangements with the gangsters when you came here?
And if they mention us

This part is smooth

StayWideAwake wrote:I'm listening to this Em verse over and over and I just don't hear what people are talking about. His flow is smooth, he rides the beat very well, and the rhymes roll off the tongue melodically.

This is a "choppy" verse (but nice nonetheless)
http://youtu.be/VGjy42gsiDo?t=35s

Em's verse is not "choppy" nor is it all lyrical miracle packed syllables. There is a coherent sentence structure in almost (if not all) bars of his verse.

I just wish his vocals were turned up so I could hear the middle section of his bars better

I agree, that's also an issue I had with a couple of his feature verses pre-MMLP2. I think "Our House" specifically. I think that quiet voice that he had still to this day worked best on "A Kiss".

Grown on me alot. Doesn't sound great on earphones but sounds awesome on speakers. Big Sean is surprisingly really good on it and Danny Brown sounds a lot like Andre 3K on this.

Opinion about the song.

Dej Loaf: She sucks for rapping but on the hook she does a pretty nice job.

Royce: Killed it. I love his flow here, and that sipe tea bar >>>>

Big Sean: Surprising. Maybe his flow on the track is not the best but he got some clever wordplay on his verse and it really looks like he put work on his bars.

Danny Brown: Dog shit. Horrible. I don't even try to fuck with this guy. Fucking corny flow, get out my ears faggot.

Eminem: Destroyed it as usual. I am the only one that noticed he did keep the same rhyme scheme over all the verse? Some Legacy type of shit over here, fantastic :b:

Track score: 8.5/10. I think i would bump a lot this track when the album gets released.

I love his flows on DvE, Calm Down and even Twerk Dat Pop Dat. Definitely heard a SHITLOAD of flows that deserved more to be called "choppy". But I also hope he doesn't stick to these kinds of flows through the whole album.

Would you rather not have him rhyme at all anymore then? That'd be unpredictable.
